Each Girls on the Run Bay Area season comes to an end with a celebratory 5K. This closing event gives program participants of all abilities a tangible sense of accomplishment. Crossing the finish line instills confidence through completion and is a joyful moment program participants always remember! Everyone in our program receives a commemorative medal to celebrate this incredible achievement.
We are looking for both Running Buddies and General Volunteers to help us make the day special and successful!
Running Buddies run alongside a girl who does not have a family member or friend to support her. Running buddies are motivators and supporters, it might be a run, walk, skip or even jog, and it is always fun!
General Volunteers help ensure our 5K celebrations are possible by assisting with various tasks throughout the day!
